Sun and Beach regions of Sal, Boavista and Maio offer long white sandy beaches that are proper for sun and beach tourism and water related sports. Its main driving forces are the sea, swimming activities, the climate and water-related sports such as diving, windsurfing and offshore blue-water fishing.
Nature-Oriented or Eco-tourism are discovered on the islands that offer unique sceneries such as the Volcano in the island of Fogo, a pine tree covered highland forest in Santo Antao island. Mountains and fertile valley floors, fit for touring, trekking, climbing, horseback riding, bicycle riding as well as nature and leisure related activities, can all be found in the islands of Santo Antao, Sao Nicolau, Santiago, Fogo, and Brava.
